Tool Crib Attendant
**Job Title: Tool Crib Attendant** **Job Description** The Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for providing procurement, set-up, maintenance, and reporting details for all tools and fixtures in support of Machine Shop functions. **Responsibilities** + Review shop list, MRP, and related work schedules to meet customer demands. + Issue, receive, and store tools and fixtures in support of Machinists and Operators. + Interact daily with Operations, Leads, Managers, and cross-functional team members. + Keep inventory of all tools and request purchases of cutting tools, inserts, and shop supplies as necessary. + Respond to expedited requests and coordinate tools and material for delivery to the shop floor. + Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and fixtures, ensuring accurate record-keeping. + Prepare kits and preset tools to help improve standardization. + Coordinate efforts to re-sharpen cutting tools. + Analyze and manage tooling inventory, identifying trends, improvement ideas, and key cost drivers. + Provide monthly reports on top tools, high users, monthly expenses, and total tool inventory. + Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives. + Perform other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed or assigned. + Continue education and training, including but not limited to ISO 9001, safety, blueprint reading, teamwork, and Statistical Process Control. + Maintain the cleanliness of the work area. + Accurately record labor time for job tracking. **Essential Skills** + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Effective communication skills, including clear speaking, attentive listening, and understanding nonverbal cues. + Commitment to personal learning and development, seeking feedback and modifying behavior based on feedback. + Ability to anticipate changes in work demands and treat unexpected circumstances as opportunities to learn. + Capability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. + Experience with forklift operation, tooling, tool crib management, inventory control, and material handling. + Knowledge of high-tech/semiconductor environments, cycle counts, warehouse inventory, and tool and die processes. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proficiency in reviewing shop lists, MRP, and related work schedules. + Ability to maintain accurate records and manage tool inventory. + Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives. + Understanding of ISO 9001 standards and safety procedures. + Ability to stand at a workstation for designated shifts and lift and carry up to 35 lbs. **Why Work Here?** Working in the high-tech field offers numerous opportunities for growth and development. Some noise and plastic chips are present in the manufacturing area, and safety glasses and hearing protection are recommended. Employees must be able to stand at their workstation for the designated shift and lift and carry up to 35 lbs. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
