**Job Title: Tool Crib Attendant** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Tool Crib Attendant to work in our Yard. This role involves preparing various pieces of equipment for the paint department, including tasks such as sanding, grinding, and chipping. The successful candidate will use hand tools as well as larger industrial sanders, grinders, and chippers to work on equipment ranging from forklifts to power tools. A significant part of the job will involve ensuring that all power tool cords are cleaned and any cuts are repaired. When work slows in the paint department, the candidate must be willing to work in the Tool Crib, requiring a high mechanical aptitude. **Responsibilities** + Prepare equipment for the paint department by sanding, grinding, and chipping. + Use hand tools and larger industrial tools such as sanders, grinders, and chippers. + Work with various equipment, including torch carts, forklifts, and wheel carts. + Clean and repair power tool cords. + Assist in the Tool Crib when required. **Essential Skills** + 6+ months of experience in paint prepping. + 6+ months of experience in grinding parts. + 6+ months of experience in sanding parts. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 6+ months of exposure in a paint department specific to a construction company. + 6+ months of hands-on experience with automobiles. **Why Work Here?** Join a close-knit team that values hard work and collaboration. The team consists of two Tool Crib Attendants, a Supervisor, and a full-time Painter. The work environment can be loud and cold, especially during the winter months, as tasks may require moving between indoor and outdoor settings. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
