**Job Title: Tool & Die Maker** **Job Description** We are hiring an experienced Tool & Die Maker to support our manufacturing facility by repairing, retrofitting, and repurposing molds. This is a one-person department, but you will be training under the current Journeyman Tool & Die Maker for several months. Experience from the plastics or rubber industry is preferred but not required. **Responsibilities** + Use manual machinery including mills, lathes, grinders, drills, saws, and die filers. + Review customer designs or requests with office staff and provide insight based on the current supply of tools and machinery. + Help account managers identify potential difficulties while quoting various new jobs. + Sharpen, repair, refurbish, or repurpose molds and shop machinery. + Use precision measurement tools to ensure molds and tools created are within tolerance and properly fit injection or extruder machines. + Operate forklifts to move machinery and load tooling into machines. + Review 2D and 3D CAD files for tool and die making. + Evaluate and quote molds and dies for repair, and record or report damaged or changed tools from inventory. + Maintain a clean and organized shop; all tools and machinery will be provided. + Collaborate with office staff, production operators, and leadership teams daily. + Perform welding and fabrication of aluminum and steel molds or parts using wire feed welding and gas brazing. **Essential Skills** + Hands-on experience with manual machinery including mills, lathes, grinders, drills, saws, and die filers. + Interpretation of blueprints, engineered drawings, and 2D/3D CAD drafts to make parts. + Hands-on troubleshooting and installation of molds and dies into production machinery. + Ability to work independently for extended periods of time. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with SolidWorks and CAD drawings. + Experience with injection mold machines and rubber extruders. + Experience with mold making and maintenance. **Why Work Here?** This is a direct hire opportunity with benefits available. Additionally, you will receive training with our current Journeyman Tool & Die Maker for a few months. **Work Environment & Schedule** This is a manufacturing facility with all operations conducted indoors. The production floor can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Near extruder and injection mold machines, the environment can be loud, dusty, and hot at times. However, the facility is clean and spacious. Day Shift Monday - Friday with possibility for a flexible start time. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $115000.00 Company benefits include medical, dental, sick time, holiday and PTO, and annual reviews for raises or incentives.
