Job Description
We are seeking a Tool Room Attendant with knowledge of tools and consumables, and the ability to issue and receive tools efficiently. The primary goal is to ensure the functionality of all production tools according to production needs and maintain the operation of the tool crib in line with the production schedule. This full-time position requires the candidate to work independently and manage tool inventory, inspect, repair, and maintain tools and equipment, and keep the tool room organized and clean.
ResponsibilitiesCheck tools in and out for use.Perform preventive maintenance, track due dates, and conduct periodic inspections and required maintenance for production tools.Create new Tool Control Cards for new tools.Update Tool Control Cards with tool history and calibration details.Write, track, and file Lost Tool Notices.File Tool Control Cards.Update data files.Repair or send out broken tools.Assist Engineering with continuous improvement projects.Conduct inventory of production tools.Receive new tools and conduct incoming inspections.Send out and track hydraulic samples, and file hydraulic sample results.Track calibration and periodic inspection due dates.Send out and receive calibrated tools, and file calibration certifications.Essential SkillsKnowledge of Tool Control and Tool Room operations.Experience with calibration, blueprints, SAP, and hydraulic tools.Proficiency in basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook).Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented and good judgment.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred).Any experience or sufficient training equivalent to demonstrate performance of essential duties and responsibilities.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The Tool Room Attendant will work the 2nd Shift from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM in a tool room and shop environment. This role involves lifting, carrying, pushing, and climbing, and exposure to equipment noise and fumes. Employees must be capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds and adhere to safety precautions and procedures.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
