Howmet Aerospace is currently looking a Tool Mechanic to join our Dover Casting group in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this Midnight Shift are Sunday Night - Thursday Night 11:00P - 7:00A. Training may be on 1st shift for several months (Monday - Friday 7A - 3P).
New Hire Starting Hourly Rate: $24.70; After 12 Months: $27.28

POSITION OVERVIEW
Performs maintenance duties on production equipment not requiring major repairs in the metal work cell.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principals. Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Report all job related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook). Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner. Attend all EHS training.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Equipment includes buffing jacks, abrasive belt machines, air and electric hand pieces and vibrating finishing machines. Services finishing equipment in Manufacturing. Responsible for bringing supplies to the stations Prepares buffs and adjusts belting machines. Installs new sleeves and collets for stoning machines. Fabricates spindles. Performs preventative maintenance on this equipment to insure proper operation. Maintains equipment control records. Installs lighting fixtures and holders for equipment. May set up jigs and fixtures. Performs other duties as might be assigned by supervision, may include carting work or other manufacturing ops. Order department supplies May need to work daily and weekend overtime to repair and maintain department equipment. Maintains work areas assigned in a clean, orderly, and safe condition. Follows all applicable safety rules. Works in a safe manner at all times. Responsible for daily EHS and Quality checks.
