Major Oak is a 305 megawatt lignite-fired power plant in Robertson County, near Bremond, Texas, about 150 miles south of Dallas and 160 miles northwest of Houston. The plant uses circulating fluidized-bed combustion technology that minimizes emissions and reduces nitrogen oxides (NOx). The injection of crushed limestone in the process is used to reduce sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions.
Opportunity Summary
As Tool Room and Warehouse Maintenance Coordinator, you will ensure the seamless operation and maintenance of critical tools and equipment, playing a vital role in the safety and efficiency of facility operations. You will be responsible for overseeing tool inspections, repairs, and inventory management while adhering to safety protocols and collaborating with cross-functional teams. This position requires strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to streamline warehouse processes, contributing to the overall performance of the facility.
Primary Functions
Your scope of responsibility as Tool Room and Warehouse Maintenance Coordinator will include the following primary functions:
Tool Room Attendant
Check tools in and out of the tool room to ensure proper tracking and availability. Conduct quarterly inspections of extension cords to verify safety and functionality. Perform fall protection harness inspections to maintain compliance with safety standards. Repair and store washdown and air hoses to keep them in proper working order. Service, repair, or replace hand tools and power tools as needed to maintain operational readiness. Conduct weekly grinder inspections, including replacing grinding stones and adjusting guards for optimal performance and safety. Stock bolt bins, free bins, paints, and penetration oils to keep supplies readily available. Clean and organize flammable cabinets to ensure the safe storage of hazardous materials. Maintain and service the bead blasting cabinet to keep it operational and safe for use. Maintain welders and cutting rigs by performing routine inspections and servicing as needed. Inspect, maintain, and replace nylon and metal chokers, chain falls, come-a-longs, and other rigging equipment to ensure safe lifting and rigging operations. Maintain and clean the gasket-cutting area to ensure efficiency and cleanliness. Maintain and clean the hydraulic hose area to support safe and reliable operations. Inspect and check out all ladders to ensure they are in safe working condition. Inspect and check out all Milwaukee battery-operated tools to ensure they are maintained and fully charged for operational use.Warehouse
Ensure warehouse personnel and operations comply with safety protocols for handling and storing materials and equipment. Collaborate with safety teams to maintain a safe warehouse environment. Assist the warehouse as needed, supporting inventory management and general tasks. Operate trucks or vans for transporting materials to and from vendors. Use forklifts or other machinery for warehouse operations. Load and unload trucks using a forklift. Conduct weekly inspections of forklifts and SkyTrac equipment to ensure they are in good working order. Certify new employees in forklift and SkyTrac operation as required. Prepare for outages and shutdowns by organizing lights, air hoses, rigging, and other necessary equipment.CMMS Hexagon
Utilize Hexagon CMMS to streamline procurement processes, including order creation, vendor management, and invoice processing. Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance in Hexagon to support inventory control and financial reporting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize Hexagon configurations, enhancing supply chain efficiency. Generate reports and leverage Hexagon analytics to monitor procurement and inventory performance. Participate in Hexagon system updates and enhancements to improve procurement and inventory management capabilities.Inventory and Purchasing
Analyze market data to identify spending opportunities and implement sourcing strategies that drive cost savings. Develop and maintain supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely delivery. Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal levels and compliance with company policies while minimizing shortages. Coordinate the resolution of procurement issues, including supplier claims and accounts payable discrepancies. Continuously improve warehouse operations and transportation logistics to enhance efficiency and performance.NAES Safe

Working Relationships
The Tool Room and Warehouse Maintenance Coordinator reports to the Maintenance Manager and cooperates with the Operations and Maintenance staff as needed in support of the daily operation of the plant.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Physical requirements include standing for extended periods of time, climbing stairs and ladders, and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds. Some duties require wearing protective equipment, such as hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves, and high-voltage protective gear. Work with hazardous materials may be necessary. Strict smoking restrictions apply in and around the facility.
Fitness for Duty
All employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening.
Work Schedule
The work schedule consists of four days per week, with 10-hour shifts each day. Position requires extended working hours and varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on schedules, workload, and plant conditions. Periodic "On call" status will be required.
Compensation
Initial starting compensation will range from $32 to $42 per hour and will include an annual performance bonus.
Job Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field is a plus, but not required. Additional technical training or certification in equipment maintenance or a related field is preferred to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately track tools and equipment, maintain proper inventory levels, and ensure compliance with safety inspections and regulatory requirements. Proven experience in tool and equipment maintenance, including conducting inspections, performing repairs, and managing inventory to ensure tools remain safe, functional, and readily available. Knowledge of inventory purchasing processes, including supplier management, order placement, and negotiation skills, to ensure timely procurement of tools and supplies and maintain optimal inventory levels. Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations, including OSHA standards and guidelines for tool handling and hazardous materials, to ensure a safe working environment. Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery, with proven skills in safely and efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, and similar equipment. Certification is preferred to ensure compliance with safety standards. Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, analyze problems, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items, loading, and unloading materials, and other activities related to warehouse operations. Basic computer skills with proficiency in data entry and familiarity with utilizing CMMS (Hexagon) software for managing inventory, procurement, and reporting processes. Excellent organizational skills with skill in maintaining clean and orderly storage areas for tools and equipment, ensuring easy access and efficient workflows.
