Job Posting: Tool Room Assistant

Summary:

Position will assist/support Tool Room Technicians in all tool room activities ranging from cleaning of molds to maintaining perishable tooling and dies. Works as part of a team having responsibility for producing quality workmanship in an efficient and safe manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform light preventative maintenance and changeovers on tools used for production per given PM schedule.Responsible for Tool Room upkeep, and practicing orderly and safe measures following 5S principles.Active involvement in process improvement activities and individual suggestion program.Assist in other activities as assigned by lead Tooling Manager.

Pay Information:

$22 - $26/hr.

Shift Differential of $1 or $2 will be determined and given after completion of est. 6-8 week training

May be sooner or longer depending on how long processes take to be picked up

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must Have Experience:

1-2 years of working in a tool room environment or vocational schooling equivalentExperience with Bridgeport Mills, Lathes, and Drill Presses

Nice to Have Experience:

3-7 years of experience in a tool room environmentExperience working in a plastics (Extrusion) environmentMold assembly & maintenanceTooling maintenanceExperience from companies like Hoffer Plastics, Nypro, Rexam, FlexTMA certificate

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00
