The Tool Room Supervisor will plan, organize and manage Tool Shop operations, ensuring all injection molding tools are properly maintained, stored and repaired as needed to meet operational objectives. This individual is also accountable for developing and documenting Injection Molding production processes.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that injection molding tooling is available as needed for production. Develop, implement, maintain and document injection molding tooling review for the purpose of conducting preventative maintenance. Review tooling production results for the purpose of recommending tooling modifications and/or tooling replacement. Schedule Tool Room employees to support production requirements and make recommendations for contracting outside work based upon workload of the department. Monitor Tool Room processes to ensure tooling is in optimal condition. Inform management of issues and situations that could have a negative impact on production. Support non-injection molding departments: OMV, Print, Kits, etc. as needed. Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in both the Tool Room at 6 Stuart Road and the satellite Tool Room at 9 Stuart Road. Ensure that all tools are stored in an organized and safe manner. Maintain an up-to-date tooling inventory for all injection molding tools. Coordinate with engineering regarding tooling design recommendations, outside repairs and modifications. Support and schedule other WNA plant tooling repairs as required. Provide guidance and train staff on technical issues as required. Review products performing below standard to determine cause and make recommendations for correcting performance. Ensure areas of responsibility are supported so that assigned functions can be fulfilled. Understand and enforce the company’s policies and procedures. Other tasks as required or as assigned by Management. \n Journeyman Mold Maker qualification required. 6+ years of experience in the field of thin-wall Injection Molding Tooling preferred 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or management position Solid computer skills including MS Office, timekeeping systems and SmartSheets Superior communication skills, both written and verbal \n
