Job Description
We are an injection molding company specializing in automation and manufacturing small plastic pieces such as ice scoops, nail polish holders, CD cases, and DVD cases. We are currently expanding our product line to include items for Kawasaki. We are seeking a skilled Tool Room Technician to maintain, modify, and repair tools and molds, ensuring their functionality and efficiency.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain, modify, and repair tools/molds.Shut down presses and start them back up after daily Preventative Maintenance (PM) completion.Prepare tools for production according to schedule requests.Set up and operate a wide range of machines.Measure, determine dimensions, develop a sequence of operations, and set up and run machinery to manufacture and repair components.Analyze, diagnose, and correct tooling problems on the production floor and in the Tool Room.Test operation of molds to ensure functionality, conferring with engineering and production personnel as necessary.Take preventive measures to keep tools and molding surfaces safe and free of damage, including instructing production personnel on correct handling procedures.Maintain tool room stock, operating manuals, mold drawings, mold and component locations, and mold maintenance records.Essential SkillsKnowledge of metalworking processes.Knowledge of mechanical drawing, tool design, and blueprint reading.Ability to lift 50lbs independently.Minimum of 6 months tenure in the most recent position.2-year degree in Tool & Die, Machine Tool, or a related field OR 1-5 years of mold making and processing capabilities in injection molding.Additional Skills & Qualifications6+ months of injection molding experience.6+ months of plastic injection molding experience.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Our work environment is climate controlled with heating and air conditioning. It is spacious, allowing employees to have a large area and multiple machines to themselves. We operate three shifts: 1st shift (8am-4pm), 2nd shift (4pm-12am) with a $1.00 differential, and 3rd shift (12am-8am) with a $1.50 differential. Interviews for 3rd shift are conducted at 8am. The team consists of approximately 20 members on 1st shift, 15 on 2nd shift, and 15 on 3rd shift. The dress code includes pants or shorts in the summer, t-shirts, hair tied up, and steel-toe shoes.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.50/hr.
