“A Day in the Life”

Refurbishes, maintains, and tests mechanical equipment, hand and power tools, machinery, and components. Performs routine maintenance and troubleshooting on power tools and industrial light equipment. Identifies parts for replacement and machines that need new parts and places orders as necessary. Assists the warehouse in material handling and requisition as needed. May operate forklift.

Refurbishes, maintains and tests mechanical equipment, machinery and componentsEnsures tools, equipment, machinery and components in use in the facility are maintained properly and are in safe operating conditionFamiliar with operating guidelines for equipment and able to instruct team members in the use of tools, mechanical equipment, and machineryResponsible to ensure proper certification and licensing of mechanical equipment and machinery as requiredCoordinates will-call of partsReceives and enters materials into warehouse management system Operates forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within related field of responsibilityRelies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the jobOther duties as assigned

 

“Must Haves”

Able to work outside in variable weather conditionsMaintains documentation regarding mechanical equipment, machinery and tool component maintenanceAbility to follow spoken and written instructionAbility to safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and proceduresPrior experience in related work requiredPrior experience of at least 3 years in the warehouse/construction industry with an understanding of warehouse practices and proceduresTool repair/inspection certification preferred

 

Special Considerations:

Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the dayMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objectsAble to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities

 

The specific pay rate and level, if applicable, will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications, prior experience and location.
