Job Title: Tooling Design Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Tooling/Fixture Design Engineer with a experience in manufacturing design, specifically using Creo or Solidworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing new tooling and supporting projects to design new fixtures. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and repairing existing fixtures to ensure they are up-to-date and functioning optimally. This position offers a long-term opportunity with the potential to transition to a direct role within 12 months. Responsibilities + Design and support new tooling and fixture projects. + Review and repair existing tooling and fixtures to ensure optimal functionality. + Evaluate the health of fixtures on the shop floor, taking measurements and updating designs as needed. + Focus on weld tooling and fixture design/redesign. + Work on the shop floor to take measurements and evaluate old fixture health and drawing accuracy. + Split time equally between new tool and fixture design and redesigning and improving existing tools and fixtures. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Creo and/or Solidworks. + Experience in tooling design and weld fixture design/redesign. + Comfort working on the manufacturing shop floor. + Strong ability to take measurements and evaluate fixture health. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with manufacturing processes and shop floor operations. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Work Environment This role involves a balanced work environment with 50% of the time spent in the office and 50% on the manufacturing shop floor. The work will focus on both new designs and the evaluation and improvement of existing fixtures, with a special emphasis on welding.
