Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic 5-person engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing tools and dies, utilizing CAD or AutoCAD to analyze and enhance existing tooling designs. This role involves developing blueprints for new tooling designs based on client or project specifications, collaborating with colleagues to incorporate feedback, and creating prototypes to test new designs. The successful candidate will also conduct quality assurance tests, negotiate with vendors and contractors, and schedule meetings with management and marketing personnel.
ResponsibilitiesDesign tools and dies using CAD or AutoCAD software.Analyze and enhance existing tooling designs.Develop blueprints for new tooling designs based on client or project specifications.Collaborate with colleagues to incorporate feedback and create prototypes to test new designs.Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure design integrity.Negotiate with vendors and contractors to source materials and services.Schedule and attend meetings with management and marketing personnel.Essential SkillsProficiency in 3D CAD software Hexagon VISIProficiency in AutoCAD 2D.3-5 years of experience in tooling design.Demonstrated ability to plan and create tool layouts.Background in working with automotive customers.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $85000.00
