Job Title: Tooling DesignerJob Description Designs a wide variety of tools used for paper cup forming machinery. Works with machine technicians to identify problems with tool performance and recommends solutions or enhancements. Responsibilities + Perform and validate calculations used in the process of designing toolsets. + Develop models and drawings used in toolset design. + Maintain documentation pertaining to each toolset design. + Maintain drawing/design standards for toolsets. + Check the designs of peers. + Work with technicians to troubleshoot toolset designs and identify improvements. Essential Skills + Tooling Design + Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor + Mechanical Design + Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design or a related discipline + 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area + Proficiency with 2D CAD software + Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of mechanical design + Proficiency with Microsoft Office Additional Skills & Qualifications + Organized and detail-oriented + Strong work ethic + Effective communication skills, both written and verbal + Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills + Ability to multi-task and easily define priorities + Ability to work with others as a team or individually with minimal supervision + Works well in a fast-paced environment and can remain in control Work Environment This role involves working in an office setting and occasionally on the floor. The work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to remain in control while managing multiple tasks.
