We are looking for a Tooling Engineer to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. This role serves as the point of contact between the tool design requestor and the entity performing the tool design work.
Your Responsibilities:
Design and facilitate the design of manufacturing toolingProcess Document Tracking (DT) requestsWork with drafters to identify databases needed for reference for outside jobsCoordinate receipt of outside tool design databases from outside vendorsPerform checks of tool drawings for adherence to tool design requirements and current drafting practicesClose out jobs after release in TeamcenterWe Take Care of Our People:

Your Challenge:
The Tooling Engineer provides engineering guidance, monitors and reviews drawings for completeness and accuracy. They ensure that tool designs with safety requirements receive safety analysis and are properly documented. This position requires interaction with Drafting, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Project Managers and outside tool design suppliers. A thorough understanding of tool design requirements and drafting practices is required
What you Bring:
5+ years' experience with Tool Engineering/DesignMechanical Engineering DegreeA thorough understanding of tool design requirements and drafting practices A basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Edge, Oracle and Teamcenter Must be able to work well with others and show initiative to resolve issues that ariseMust be willing to search for solutions and stay in communication with all parties involved in the tool design processEstimate tool design costs/hours based on knowledge of software and past tool designsProvide input to project teams on tooling estimates/costs based on past designs Investigate tooling issues on the shop floor and offer input to resolve problemsStrong mechanical background is requiredMust be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearanceWho we are:
