The management of all rapid prototype and tooling budgets to meet internal and external cost targets while providing the best technical solutions possibleAll aspects of rapid prototype patterns, wax pattern tools & fixtures from quotation, through procurement to meet internal milestone dates and engineering release to productionCommunication of technical issues with internal and external contacts

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Effective, thorough and timely completion of essential job functions according to all approved operating procedures while contributing as an integral member of a professional, team-based work environmentTool Engineering purchasing key responsibilities: Quote rapid prototype patterns, tools & fixtures for constructionPerform analyses of vendor quotationsPlace Purchase Orders based upon an optimal mix of cost, quality, delivery and vendor core competency according to PCC Schlosser purchasing requirements & proceduresManage and develop vendor base to deliver high quality products to meet internal milestone datesWax injection tool engineering key responsibilities: Generate wax injection tool dimensional and operational build requirementsReview, modify & approve tool vendor build conceptsProve operational and dimensional quality of all tooling prior to production releaseGenerate tool rework & nominalization plans for internal and external vendors based upon a thorough and accurate interpretation of dimensional statistical analysis dataResponsible for the correction of all functionality & productivity issues for development and production tools & fixturesComplete, thorough & timely problem solving related to all issues related to rapid prototype pattern quality and tooling & fixturing development using root cause analysis techniquesCommunicate with internal and external contacts regarding tooling, engineering or process related technical issuesResponsible for the real-time management of PCC Schlosser’s Tooling & Fixturing Inventory system to meet & exceed all customers’ requirementsConsistent attention to detail in all tasks performedPerform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
