Tooling Engineer
Job Title: Tooling Design Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Tool Design Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing high-speed progressive stamping dies. This role involves partnering with the New Product Development (NPD) and manufacturing teams to bring new products to life. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tooling design, particularly with progressive dies, and proficiency in SolidWorks and CREO. Strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage both remote and onsite team members are essential. Responsibilities + Design high-speed progressive stamping dies. + Collaborate with the New Product Development (NPD) and manufacturing teams. + Bring new products to life through effective tooling design. + Manage both remote and onsite team members. Essential Skills + Proficiency in SolidWorks. + Proficiency in CREO. + Minimum 5 years of experience in Tooling Design, with a focus on progressive dies for high-volume stamping. + Advanced knowledge of metal stamping, die making, progressive dies, and precision machining. + Proven track record in designing complex 3D mechanical assemblies. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Background in mechanical engineering and/or completion of an apprenticeship is preferred. + Strong understanding and background in sheet metal. + Experience with high-volume production environments. + Familiarity with precision machining and metal forming techniques. + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Strong interpersonal skills and experience working and collaborating with other teams. Work Environment The work environment is dynamic and collaborative. You'll be working closely with both the NPD and manufacturing teams, spending time both in the office and out on the floor. The role involves managing remote and onsite team members and handling high-speed progressive stamping dies in a high-volume production setting.
