TOOLING PROCESS OWNER - Whitehall Casting Operation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution. ​Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution in the following disciplines preferred: Aerospace, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial. Experience working in a Casting environment. Previous internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment or lab environment. Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills. Knowledge of MS Office. Able to work in a self-directed or team environment and have good organizations skills. Knowledge of Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and scientific methods for problem solving.

This Tooling Process Owner position will be located across our Plants 1, 3, and 10 - Whitehall Casting Operation. This position will support the manufacture of core, wax and casting tooling through best practices, tooling assessment, process control and improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities 

Ensuring that the tooling processes are performed in compliance with the methods, materials and equipment specifications as detailed in the Business Unit manual, business operating procedures, and customer requirements. Foster continuous improvement of tooling design and manufacturing to reduce variation and improve capability. Contribute to the development of corporate best practices for tooling design and construction. Responsible for determination of the root cause of any deviation from critical process specifications or downstream product specifications and providing technical support to resolve tooling related issues. Work with engineering and tooling vendors to plan and execute projects.
