**Tooling Readiness Coordinator - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, Ohio**
**Job Duties**
+ Interacts with Tooling, Shop Scheduling, Planning, Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering and Zone Controllers on a daily basis.
+ Works to have tools pulled a minimum of 5 weeks in advance of the tool need date.
+ Works with Material Services to have the tools pulled and returned back to warehouse bin locations.
+ Works with several hourly crafts to coordinate the unpacking and packing of tools.
+ Reviews tools for damage, missing components and general completeness.
+ Issues tool request to Tooling to replace missing or damaged pieces.
+ Works with electronic production and tracking systems, SAP, RTW, etc..
+ Works with others to develop tool kits physically and electronically.
+ Reviews existing line item tracking and consults with the cognizant Tooling Engineer to clean up records of line items no longer needed so only active tools remain. Aids in correcting tool inventory.
+ Thinks proactively to solve tooling logistical issues.
+ Recommends and implements better ways of storing tooling.
+ Works with Planning and Program Management to identify if short- or long-term storage preparations are required.
+ Observes tooling while in use and works with Tooling and Manufacturing Engineering to make improvements.
+ Other responsibilities as necessary.
**Education and Experience Requirements**
+ Qualifications include strong communications skills, and interest in working with multiple disciplines in support of production readiness in a manufacturing environment.
+ Competent in Microsoft Office programs.
+ Associate's degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred), exstensive experience in leu of a degree maybe considered.
