MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up, operate, and maintain manual equipment to perform machining to meet key performance indicators. Perform in-process inspection to produce product in compliance within production guidelines to ensure safety, quality, health, and environmental procedures are followed. Must make major adjustments to CNC programs and set-ups as required and work with Engineering to develop best machining programming techniques and tooling selection as required, document and report all adjustments/corrections. Program mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches.Use of surface grinders, Bridgeport type mills, EDM machines OD/ID grinders, CNC Grinder, rotary grinders, and Mori vertical mill for manual machine operations. Perform safety checks on every machine. Will be required to operate multiple machines. Use of manufacturing reporting systems.REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Must be able to read and understand blueprints and process plans. Must demonstrate good eye-hand coordination and agility. Being self-directed and working in team environments is expected. Positions will require weekend or off shift scheduling to meet business needs.EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 10 years of Manual experience preferred.Experience with machining and cutting operations required. Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing preferred.EDUCATION
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Associate Degree or Diploma from a Technical College or Trade School preferred.
LICENCES & CERTIFICATES Must be US citizen or authorized to work in the USA.OTHER INFORMATION
