Job Description
- Designs, assembles and troubleshoots parts or tools required for production and testing
- Uses precision measuring devices to fabricate parts, and builds prototypes and tooling for production equipment per instructions and specifications
- Sets up and operates CNC and Manual tool room equipment
- Works with engineering, as well as internal and external designers, to improve final product and tooling
- Maintains accurate, neat, and complete records as required for the tool room and assures new tools are properly numbered and inventory levels are maintained
- Ensures tool room equipment and other major shop equipment, is being maintained per procedures on a regular basis
- Understands engineering objectives and design intent and provides feedback
- Is directly involved in resolving tooling-related issues on the production floor
- Participates and/or assists with cross-training activities, training of new hires and temporary staff
- Follows set training program for position and ensures training requirements are up to date
- Demonstrates safe work habits, and maintains a clean and safe work area

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $83000.00
