**Job Description:** To build or repair all types, sizes and shapes of jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies. Assemble and try out complex tools and dies on manufacturing equipment. Essential Functions: + Reads and interprets blueprints or works from verbal or written instructions or from the part to be copied or fitted. + Plans the setup and operation of all types of machine shop tools, considering types of material, tolerances, types of cutting tools, coolants, lubricants, and machine tool feeds and speeds. + Heat treats and welds parts as required. + Determines specifications for inspection of work, using precision measuring and gauging tools, performing required inspection before, during and after machining. + Performs hand operations involved in producing jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies. Uses hand tools of the trade. + Fits and assembles jigs, fixtures, tools, and other dies. + Assist in training of Apprentice Toolmakers. + May assist Machinists and Production Toolmakers in transfer press work. + May work with product designers providing input to manufacturing capability on newly formed products. + Follow safety protocols and maintain clean and organized work area + Perform all other duties as assigned or directed. **Qualifications** + Experience with CNC mill, wire, sinker, lathe required. + Ability to lift approximately 40-60 pounds on a regular basis. + High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience. + Journeyman status preferred. **Compensation Information:** 30.00 - 42.00 USD Hourly _ITW is an equal opportunity employer.
