This is a full-time, non-exempt level position
Position Summary:ADM is seeking a marine operator to work as a rig based out of our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) in Saint Louis, Missouri.Job Requirements:Proficient in all job requirements of Lead / OperatorAbility to follow direction and execute tasks under the supervision of the shift leads and managersReading and writing skills sufficient to comprehend/complete a variety of documentsAbility to work in a flexible schedule; must allow for changes in assignments, and priorities depending upon identified needs of the rig or vesselsOperate Equipment (see specific equipment in departments below)Lead safety meetings and come up with lesson plan and topicAbility to properly inspect and operate mobile equipment; proficient in operating a loader and basic skills to operate a track hoe in various working conditionsWorking knowledge in the process of drafting bargesWorking knowledge in winch operations, securing of barges and proper riggingMust be able to work in all types of climatesEnforce safety standards and policies and report deficiencies to managementDemonstrate ADM core values and incorporate them in trainingMentor and train less experienced colleaguesConduct Job Cycle Checks and participate in the development and revision of SOPsUse computer systems to aid in job scheduling and work tasks (i.e. Microsoft Applications, Fleetcom)Ability to communicate with Leads in other departments including Vessel Captains and ManagementComplete daily safety and production paperwork and computer entriesWelding experience or willing to learn how to weldWilling to learn fiberglass repairWilling to learn confined spaces and confined space entryWilling to survey, pump, shingle bargesWilling to learn other aspects of fleeting and fleet maintenance not mentionedWilling to become Crane CertifiedJob Responsibilities:Crane Operator / skid steer / forklift / material handler/ barge and barge fleet maintenance/ welding/ confined space entry/ shingling/pumping/surveying bargesPhysical Requirements:Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and Company human performance exam (physical ability test)Standing for prolonged periods of timeFrequent heavy liftingProlonged periods of kneeling, bending and climbing stairs/laddersAbility to work near or on large bodies of water, at various heights and in confined spacesADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
