The Topsides Facilities Engineer will be part of the GOM FC Topside Facilities Eng Team and will support the Gulf of Mexico Business Unit in managing both short and long term planning as well as in controlling program execution while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This will be done by working closely with the Assets, Plants and Operational Support groups to gather, analyze and reconcile all necessary data to allow execution of these plans.
• Facilities Engineer responsible for engineering technical oversight of GOM deepwater asset(s)
• Accountable for project execution from inception to completion
• Coordination of projects with Asset and Operations teams to meet business goals and objectives
• Project identification and definition – process optimization, reliability, operability, asset integrity, downtime reduction, production increase
• Preparation of accurate cost and schedule estimates in conjunction with required stakeholders
• Management of project scopes, schedules and budgets according to strategic business plans, including progress and cost reporting to upper management
• Management of engineering efforts, including supervision of 3rd Party engineering contractors
• Assessment and management of risks associated with project development and brownfield operations
• Adherence to the management of change process
• Coordination and management of facility construction campaigns, including planning, execution, reporting and downtime required
• Coordination of interfaces between topsides, marine, subsea, drilling, operations, and regulatory
• Development of relationships with contractors, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders to enable strong project deliveries and effective problem resolution
• Deliver (and exceed) the objectives and goals developed by the Facilities Engineering and Construction team
• Offshore trips to support planning and installation activities, as required

Required:
• BS or MS in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum, or Civil Engineering
• Involvement with applicable professional organizations
• Familiar and Knowledgeable in GOM Industry standards
• Candidates must have at least 5 years of Gulf of Mexico Facility Engineering experience
• Candidates must have experience working for, or in contractor role on behalf of, Operator Company
• Candidates must have experience working with or managing 3rd party engineering contractors
• High level communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of MOCs, HAZOPs and PSSRs
• Expertise in project management principles including estimating, scheduling, and implementation
• Knowledge of subsea, marine, operations, and drilling/completions disciplines
• Understands and demonstrates sound working knowledge of basic technical principles, has applied them to solve routine problems.
• Can prepare detailed recommendations, memos, and reports on technical issues decisions; can make significant contributions to key technical documents.
• Provides mentoring to asset or project team members on technical matters.
