Salary: Current Salary per GTA Contract

Minimum Requirements:
New York State TEACH Certification in one of the following areas:
School Counselor
Social Worker
Teacher
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with CLPS, Panorama, SWIS, and other data systems
Experience or willingness to be trained in Trauma, Illness, and Grief (TIG)
Experience with Threat Assessment and Columbia Rating Scales
Experience with Leader in Me
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
- Coach and support assigned building Mental Health Teams as part of District Mental Health Coaches (DMHC)
- Attend building Mental Health Team Meetings to provide coaching and support
- Support Mental Health Teams with Counseling Consultation Process
- Support Mental Health Teams with MTSS-tiered levels of support
- Support Mental Health Teams with resource mapping
- Coach Mental Health Teams with goal setting using the 4DX Model
-Attend and Support building Safety and/or Threat Assessment Team Meetings, as needed
-Support building teams with Threat and Suicide Assessments in the CLPS system
-Provide guidance and education on entering cases and monitoring completion in the CLPS system
-Co-Facilitate District Mental Health Team Department Team Meetings
-Support buildings Districtwide with Panorama
- Training and Access for new staff
- SEL survey support
- Perception survey support
- Regularly review data to identify goals, action steps, and progress monitoring around areas of focus in buildings and district-wide
- Provide professional learning to Mental Health Teams on attendance, data systems, and related topics
- Support facilitation of District-wide attendance team, creation of district attendance newsletters, and lead level-specific attendance work groups.
- Support SEL Curriculum work and initiatives
- Leader In Me Coaching and Support
- Serve on district committees to bring SEL perspective, as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- May be required to mentor new hires across the district as needed with supervisor approval
- This position may be called on to substitute in a classroom(s) when the need for a daily substitute arises. In very rare cases, this position may be called upon to fulfill a vacancy in the appropriate tenure area until the vacancy can be filled.
- The individual in this position may be invited to attend Summer Leadership Academy (SLA) and will be compensated at the Professional Rate ($35/hour).
