In this role you will contribute to Starbucks success by ensuring compliance and maintaining operational health of payroll systems. You will be designing, developing, implementing, and administering a diverse range of payroll programs for Starbucks partners.

As a total pay operations analyst, you will…

 Drive cross-functional teams to recommend and implement systematic updates to support key payroll/payroll tax policies. 

Drives implementation of internal and cross functional payroll process improvements.  Proactively tracks and identifies trends through data and metrics.  Make recommendations based on subject matter expertise for payroll/payroll tax and industry trends. Create and implements holistic learning opportunities for payroll partners.  Provide guidance to whole payroll team on larger company or system compliance initiatives and drives work forward.

We’d love to hear from people with: 

Multi-state/Provincial full cycle payroll processing, including time entry to general ledger entry Moderate skills in payroll systems (specifically SAP), accounting systems (specifically Oracle), Microsoft Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.), and other software which has an interface to SAP (Kronos, Authoria, etc.) Foundational understanding of payroll including garnishments, bonus payments, special payments and payroll taxes for US and Canada Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to convey complicated information in a logical manner Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Compensation and Benefits experience 3 years ERP and Access Databases 3 years Business requirements documentation 2 years Test script development and end-user testing 2 years End-user support and training 2 years

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.  For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

 

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
