About the Role:
We currently have two Tour Accountant roles available, offering a salary range of $80,000–$100,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Role Objective:
The Tour Accountant plays a pivotal role in managing the financial settlement process for Live Nation's events. Collaborating with Promoters, Finance, and other internal teams, the Tour Accountant ensures all financial aspects are accurately accounted for and finalised with artist teams and global stakeholders. This role is essential in meeting settlement and reporting timelines, contributing to the seamless execution of our world-class events.
Key Responsibilities:
Budget Preparation & Approval: Collaborate with Promoters and Operations Managers to build, review, and approve tour budgets, ensuring financial accuracy and reasonableness.Financial Tracking & Variance Analysis: Develop tracking budgets (PLS), provide forecast input, and analyse variances to minimise uncertainty.Pre-Tour Financial Coordination: Managing insurance, foreign currency hedging, and artist deposit schedules for tour readiness.Withholding Tax Compliance: Prepare withholding tax calculations and ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand tax regulations.Show Settlement Oversight: Finalise venue settlements, reconcile cash floats, and approve tour-related invoices.Artist Settlement Management: Reconcile artist show settlements, guarantee payments, and VIP fee settlements as per contracts.Month-End Reporting: Collaborate with Management Accountants to finalise PLS, reconcile variances, and meet month-end reporting deadlines.Cross-Department Collaboration: Liaise with internal teams to interpret and incorporate input into financial processes and reporting.
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Excel with 1-2 years of office or support role experience in budgeting, accounting, or finance.Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with ticketing systems and accounting or business qualifications are advantageous.Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication to engage with stakeholders, including artist teams.Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on detail to ensure accuracy in financial processes and reporting.Time Management & Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.Relationship Building: Skilled in building strong relationships across departments and external stakeholders.Passion & Initiative: Passionate about the music industry, with the confidence to ask questions, challenge constructively, and negotiate.
