Job Description Position Title: Concessions CookDepartment: Food & BeverageReports To: Concessions ManagerClassification: Part-Time Compensation: $19.00 an hourPosition Description: The Concessions Cook is responsible for preparing and serving hot and/or cold food items, in accordance with Company Standards and applicable Operational Standards.Essential Functions:Assists in maintaining, organizing and cleaning all equipmentAttention to detail and consistency in every aspect of serviceMust adhere to the Company dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoesProperly prepare, measure, and portion all food items in a timely mannerComplies with all quality standards, department rules, policies and proceduresUtilizes and sets up kitchen equipment to prepare food itemsPackages all products to proper specificationsPerforms opening, closing and side work duties as instructedKeeps workstation and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stockedUses waste control guidelines and records all waste on spoilage sheetUnderstand and maintain proper sanitation and food safetyAbides by all Company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, the Business Code of ConductOther duties as assigned Experience/Training/Education Requirements:Must be a minimum 21 years of ageHighschool Diploma or GED6 months to 1-year previous food service experience desiredMust be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issuesWorking knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation proceduresExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutionsMust be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysLicense/Certificate:Valid California Driver's LicenseFood Handlers Card Ability to:Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in positive motivation and teamworkAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to interact with all levels of customers and staff including managementAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hoursCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all staff and vendors.Be detail orientedPresent a professional appearance and demeanor at all times during the workdayExcellent organizational and planning skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong customer service orientationMust be energetic, self-disciplined with a strong sense of initiative, is detail oriented and has a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.Positive attitude and neat appearanceWork ethics encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environmentPhysical and Environmental Requirements:This position requires standing, walking, bending and lifting 25lbs. throughout the dayas well as working at the computer; irregular hours will be required.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to movearound the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear.This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
