The Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Program oversees the entire lifecycle of third-party management, including planning, due diligence, contract management, ongoing monitoring, and termination of third-party relationships.

As a senior team member, the TPR Validation Manager plays a pivotal role in the TPRM framework. This role is responsible for reviewing and challenging all aspects of third-party engagements, from the procurement of products and services to the ongoing monitoring of third parties and the control environment surrounding service delivery. The TPR Validation Manager has the final approval authority on behalf of RISQ for new vendor engagements and ensures proper oversight and certification of ongoing monitoring activities for existing engagements.

In this capacity, the TPR Validation Manager is crucial in the risk oversight chain, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidance and alignment with market practices. The role involves interaction and coordination with all levels of management locally, throughout the Americas, and globally as the department’s scope expands in subject and geographic coverage.

Based in Jersey City (hybrid role)

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Analysis of new engagements, and, following formal delegation, approval of assigned engagement classes which clears the way for contract execution
• Ensuring that the necessary due diligence is conducted on both new and existing engagements
• Review documentation and provide analysis and recommendations to the management team
• Provide review and challenge over the associated Subject Matter Expert due diligence surrounding engagements
• Identification of weaknesses in the control environment surrounding engagements or due diligence
• Participate in onsite inspection of vendor sites as required
• Monitor issues identified by the framework workflow
• Monitor and advance remediation plans emerging in response to issues identified
• Work with the workflow and reporting staff to ensure that bottlenecks are mitigated, and issues are well escalated
• Escalate risks to the department head
• Facilitate review and challenge sessions with the business areas and the SME areas
• Contribute to committee meeting and other venue presentation material as required
• Participate in the TPRM technology solution workflow
• Ensure proper documentation is obtained and analyzed for engagement, with an emphasis on critical engagements.
• Identify and collaborate with internal groups with outsourcing and vendor oversight responsibilities to reduce duplication of effort and ensure overall compliance with the program.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Thorough knowledge and experience in the Third-Party Risk Management discipline (including regulatory guidance)
• Thorough understanding and experience in the field of risk management
• Professional comportment and excellent communication and presentation skills applicable to all levels of the organization (Influential)
• Excellent organizational skills and a demonstrated ability in multi-tasking on complex projects
• Ability to work effectively on an individual level, as well as partner with others as part of a team

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite products including Word, Excel, Access, Visio and PowerPoint
• Experience with the RSA Archer platform is desired (or comparable)
• Advanced Excel (Macros)

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an internal audit or a public accountant capacity
• Prior working experience with designing and/or evaluating internal controls
• Demonstrated superb qualities in the following categories: verbal and written communication, project management, multitasking in fast pace environment, and general leadership skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint


Experience and Skills Preferred:

• Bachelor s degree from a top academic institution and/or Masters in Accounting
• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor
• Prior working experience in risk management, Third Party management, and/or Financial Services industry
• Understanding of federal banking guidelines and regulations, specifically Third Party management requirements
• Possesses a strong understanding and experience in other Third-Party management activities: identification, selection, negotiation, contracting, risk management, relationship management, financial management, performance management and contract management

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skills level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate for this type of position of the current range of $78,400 - $154,300.
