Position Summary:

The PO Tracking Supervisor is responsible for coaching and mentoring a team of direct reports. They will be responsible for providing their team with continual training and development opportunities. This person will evaluate each team member’s performance to ensure work is being done according to company standards. They will act as support to their team when it comes to any shipping related issues.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with team to ensure all inbound shipments have met the operation’s needs.Evaluate daily workload to ensure the team is managing the POs from the vendors warehouse to our DCs. Ensure all POs will be shipped within the ship window.Aid team with tracking and researching the movement of POs from creation date to last receipt date. Build and maintain strong business partnerships within the merchant groups and vendor community. Help analysts create strategic actions plans to improve and maintain overall shipping performance. Oversees the creation of any reporting needed based off the needs of their team.Must have a full understanding of the areas of business under their leadership.Fully knowledgeable of Burlington’s routing guide, vendor manuals and all shipping processes.Develop and deliver training materials, create refresher courses, and help onboard new associates. Updates departmental SOPs as needed. Work collaboratively with internal and external partners when necessary. Ensure the team is effectively communicating with merchant and vendor partners. Partner and communicate with other PO Tracking Supervisors.Consistently demonstrate critical thinking, make process improvement recommendations, and implement vetted solutions to help problem solve issues that arise. Provide continuous support through coaching in the moment and training opportunities. Support an environment that fosters open and positive team communication by hosting team meetings, one on one touch bases and other related formal and informal methods of communication. Create & implement team engagement exercises and processes.

Education and Qualifications:

2-4 years of Retail, Logistics and/or Supply Chain related experience.2-4 Years of Supervisor / Team Lead preferred.Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint needed.College degree preferred.Ability to lead, train, and mentor employees individually and as a team.Great written and verbal communication skillsQuick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Organization and time management skills.Good collaboration and teamwork abilities.Great goal-setting skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
