Track & Field Coordinator
Job Description *ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES* Major Responsibilities - Under supervision of the Administrator for Ocean Breeze, perform functions related to track and field event management. - Develop strategic partnerships with local schools and clubs, regional and national organizations and collegiate divisions. - Assist with the scheduling and coordination of all track and field meets, exhibitions, and practice sessions. - Analyze the long-term and short-term needs of the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex regarding maintenance, staffing and programming. - Oversee practice sessions and ensure compliance of all policies and procedures. - Market and promote the complex and its activities to a wide audience. - Coordinate membership drives and accounts for all revenue generated through membership and programs. - Develop and institute grant funded programs. Ensure that all center funds are accurately tracked. - Work closely with all organizations and individuals contracted to provide services to the complex; maintain records of services rendered. - Provide senior management with needs analysis, budget justifications, and productivity reports. - Supervise and direct staff daily. - Plan and implement quarterly sports clinics, sports leagues and special events. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or 2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or 3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
