POSITION SUMMARY:
The Tracker Off-road Technician performs all service and warranty repairs on Tracker off-road vehicles in a timely and efficient manner according to manufacturer specifications. Uses mechanical and power tools to install and connect motors and accessories on boats or off-road vehicles per factory specifications or as specified on work orders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Diagnoses and repairs all mechanical and electrical problems on Tracker off-road products.
Installs optional equipment and/or accessories, and rigs boat package per factory specifications and work orders. Prepares loose motors or trailers for delivery to customer.
Inspects rigging of specified units received from manufacturer for quality and accuracy. Identifies issues for correction that require additional work.
Tests each unit for proper and safe operation using established marine service procedures. When necessary, water test unit with customers to verify work performed and to explain the operation of the product.
Follows work order policies and procedures for requesting and obtaining parts, performing labor and completing paperwork.
Compiles warranty packages per outlined process for every unit.
Maintains a clean and professional work area.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required: High school education or equivalent
Certificate(s) or License(s): Service technician certification, a plus
Experience: Previous mechanical experience repairing and/or installing components to automobiles, boats, off-road vehicles, etc.
Tracker Offroad Certification - Gold
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Ability to work with electrical systems and wiring when assembling engines and connecting all electrical/remote control attachments to a boat or ATV
Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner to meet service schedules
Ability to effectively communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
Ability to make sound decisions based on available information and applicable training

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
