The Opportunity:
You'll perform soft ware design and development in the fi eld of radar tracking and multi -sensor correlation and fusion in support of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Air and Marine Operations Surveillance System (AMOSS). You'll work closely with the Engineering and Integration (E&I) Manager, the CBP customer, and the rest of the E&I development staff .

Responsibilities:

You'll focus on the tracking and correlation component of AMOSS but must be able to perform development on and provide Tier 2 support to any component of AMOSS as needed.You must be able to work on a small team of developers in a dynamic environment in which requirements change often with little to no lead time.You'll be responsible for redlining associated maintenance manuals and other documentation.Develop new and enhance existing correlation and fusion algorithms.Develop new and enhance existing radar tracking algorithms.Perform requirements analysis with the E&I Manager and the CBP customer.Perform soft ware object-oriented development in C++ on the Linux operating system on any component of AMOSS.Troubleshoot problems with new and legacy components of AMOSS.Document new and legacy components of AMOSS in the Maintenance Manuals as specified in the contract’s SOW.System Configuration and Installation.Provide Tier 2 support for all components of AMOSS.Domestic and foreign travel may be required.Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Required: 

Master’s degree or BS degree in an appropriate technical discipline, such as Physics, Math, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with 0-5 years of verifiable experience in the fi eld of tracking, correlation and fusion, or estimation theoryMust be a US CitizenMust possess and maintain a US Government SECRET Security Clearance (Minimum)Must be able to pass and maintain a CBP Background InvestigationMust have a knowledge of Kalman Filters, Covariance Matrices, and Estimation TheoryMust be able to develop and maintain algorithms for performing correlation and fusion of targets from a large number of disparate sensors including air, marine, and ground sensorsMust be able to develop and maintain radar tracking algorithms to include both cooperative and non-cooperative targetsMust have a working knowledge of parallel and distributed processingObject-oriented soft ware development, preferably in C++ is highly desirableExperience in the use of the Linux operating system for soft ware development is highly desirableMust have excellent oral and written communications skills in English


Desired:

Active Top Secret or higher clearanceVery strong mathematical education background.Relevant coursework includes topics such as: Advanced Electro/Magneto dynamics, Statistical Mechanics, Linear Algebra, Orbital Mechanics, Computational Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Solid-state Physics, and Mathematical Probability.MS Degree or enrolled in a reputable/relevant MS program or have experience and be able to demonstrate working knowledge of multi -sensor tracking.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$74,600-$156,700
