JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Summary:
Reporting to the GTC Trade Data Manager, the primary function for the Trade Analyst I is to ensure compliance of all Regal Rexnord facilities with all applicable FTA regulations. The Trade Analyst I will determine the Harmonized System Tariff classification, country of origin, USMCA qualification, as well as ensure records are kept in accordance with requirements. The Trade Analyst I will work closely with the Trade Compliance Auditors and the GTC Trade Data Manager to provide training and reviews.
Major responsibilities include:
Request, collect and review certificates of origin from suppliersCreate and maintain log of FTA suppliers responses obtainedIssue USMCA and other FTA certificates to customers as requiredCreate and maintain log of FTA customers certificates providedReview USMCA and other FTA certificates that are issued by Regal RexnordAnalyze Bill of Materials (BOM) for FTA eligibilityEnsure current USMCA and Country of Origin data is maintained in available Customs systems in a timely and accurate mannerHandle country of origin issuesEnsure compliance with USMCA and other FTA regulationsDetermine HTSUS classifications of components, raw materials, chemicals, spare parts kits, tools, equipment and finished goodsWork with Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, and other departments regarding country of origin for purchased parts, HTS classifications, and import/export issues.Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor.Adhere to established policies and procedures.Required Education / Experience / Skills:
The Trade Analyst I must possess the following:
3-5 years Trade Compliance experience in Harmonized Tariff Classification, U.S. Customs Regulations, Section / Chapter Notes, explanatory notes, CROSS rulings and Certificates of Origin.BS or BA degree preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skills, have a good written/verbal command of English and Spanish.Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.Excellent multi-tasking ability and handling varied projects.Ability to work independently without daily oversight.Proficient in Microsoft Office products; Word, PowerPoint and especially Excel.Travel: Ability to Travel 10% Languages: English/Spanish

BS or BA degree in International Trade or LogisticsClear understanding of US Customs Import regulationsClear understanding of Mexican IMMEX regulationsExperience driving continuous improvement in processes and performanceAbility to discuss complex issues with multiple team members to arrive at an agreementSAP, Oracle, Trade Automation, One Source, Trade Sphere and PRISMA experience a plus.Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization
