Trade Compliance Specialist
Job Description

Danfoss is looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Trade Compliance Specialist. You will have the opportunity to become part of a thriving and motivated department, where you can challenge yourself by managing a versatile and comprehensive position with a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. As Trade Compliance Specialist you will be Responsible for preparing the necessary documentation for the import/export process of raw materials, tools, machinery and equipment, finished products, etc. This role includes handling the required procedures with various customs and government agencies for import and/or export operations, both temporary and permanent.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. 

Documentation Preparation: Prepare necessary documentation for the import/export process of raw materials, tools, finished products, furniture, equipment, customer rejections, obsolete materials from the assigned plant to the customer or supplier and vice versa. Audit Support: Assist in external or internal audits in the Foreign Trade department, whether conducted by authorities or external consultants. Data Processing and Record Integrity: Responsible for processing data and maintaining the integrity of foreign trade records, both physical and electronic, including customs declarations, invoices, certificates, packing lists, summary entries, and other documents used as evidence before customs authorities. Inventory Management: Minimize the inventory of raw materials with backlogs in the warehouse. Information Collection: Gather information for various reports or surveys required by government agencies such as INEGI, SAT, SUBMAQUILA, etc. Invoice and Virtual Declaration Preparation: Prepare invoices and/or virtual customs declarations (movements within national territory). Waste Disposal Documentation: Prepare customs declarations for the disposal of waste. System Data Entry: Enter data into the customs system (Vastera) including part numbers, material tickets, returnables, etc. Invoice and Declaration Audits: Audit the information on invoices for both imports and exports and customs declarations to preserve data integrity. Tariff Preference Application: Ensure the application of tariff preference treaties and programs to exempt taxes and generate savings. Consolidated Declaration Closure: Perform the closure of consolidated customs declarations. Fixed Asset Control: Responsible for identifying and controlling fixed assets from importation to disposal and/or return. US Customs Entry Control: Control the relationship of entries to the US customs. Documentation and Seal Management: Maintain control and archive of customs declarations and invoices, as well as security seals. Support MESH Initiatives: Support the MESH Initiatives and Zero accident culture. Quality Systems Support: Support the Danfoss Quality Systems as well as EBE, ISO/TS, OEA, CTPAT, etc. Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses these skills. 

Education: Bachelor's degree in International Trade (preferred)  Experience: 3-5 years of experience in import and export. Legislation Knowledge: Knowledge of customs legislation. Software Proficiency: Familiarity with customs software (Vastera, CAM, etc.). MS Office Skills: Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel. SAP Advanced English Employee Benefits
