Experis, a division of ManpowerGroup, has partnered with an American multinational oil and gas corporation for a **Trade Compliance Specialist** to work on site in Spring, TX. **Job Title: Trade Compliance Specialist** **Pay: $45 per hour** **Location: Onsite – Spring, TX** **MAIN FUNCTIONS** + Responsibilities include liaise with Customs/Excise officers and other 3rd party, verify shipping documents for endorsement, prepare cover letter with the endorsed documents and send to 3rd party Trades and Affiliates. + Ensure compliance with Foreign-Trade Zone legal requirements, ensure barrier-free trade, establish effective internal controls to protect the Company, optimize trade performance , and reducing costs . + This role will interface with external consultants, leadership at the site including internal business leaders, legal, supply chain, logistics , finance, external brokers, and customs authorities to provide key inputs that inform business decisions and manage, monitor , and improve preventive and detective FTZ compliance controls. + Identifies specific regulations and other rules applied to imported goods and products.Determines if goods and products are subject to duty exemption under specific trade agreements. + Determines if different trade laws apply to imported products. **SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS** + 3 to 5 years’ experience with international shipping + Awareness of trade regulations and Foreign-Trade Zone legal requirements. + Understanding of Harmonized Tariff Schedule Code. + Understanding of Export Control Class Numbers (ECCN) + Typically, an expert in the field who can provide training to junior team members. + Experienced with the petroleum / chemical industry + **Preferred** + Licensed customer broker + Certified Customs Specialist **What’s in it for me?** + $45 to $49 per hour + Medical / dental / vision insurance + Voluntary participation in a matching 401(K) Are you interested in this opportunity?
