Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you are the Local Trade Compliance & Product Classification Officer (LTCPCO) and are responsible in the Local Division for ensuring that all local business processes are aligned with ABB trade policies and guidelines. You will guide accountable Local Division management in complying with trade related requirements as regards sanctions, export controls and customs compliance and in pursuing strategic trade objectives. Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.The work model for the role is: #LI - OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation Machine Automation Division in Roswell, GA.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tActing as point of contact for customs brokers in case of clarification needs (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products).•\tAuditing customs brokers regarding the correctness of customs entries, invoicing, and archiving.•\tManaging the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective, and lawful execution of all import/export activities.•\tMaintaining and sharing with colleagues, as appropriate, personal knowledge of all relevant import/export laws and procedures, tariffs, duties, licenses, and restrictions.Our team dynamicsYou will join a dynamic, talented, and high performing team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Logistics & Trade management field, and 5 years’ experience in Logistics, Transportation, Trade and customs; OR associate degree and 7 years’ experience in Logistics, Transportation, Trade and customs. OR License Customs Broker and 2 years of experience.Proficiency with Global Trade System (GTS) highly desired.Occasional Travel -Less than 4 weeksCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
