Trade Compliance Specialist

 

The main purpose for this role will be:

 

Perform data analysis for preferential origin, Long term Supplier Declaration, broker Management and product classification. Reporting for European countries regarding import and export operations with best quality service level to teams in Europe. Manage internal and external communication with Customs brokers, AEB software provider, Cluster Logistics teams.   Lead change management within local teams like deployment of AEB tool, new Customs procedures and processes. Monitor centralized compliance dashboard and provide escalation on critical items. Continuous improvement on savings on duty drawbacks.

 

 

About the job...

 

Extensively use AEB software platform and SAP’s, for daily reporting, monitoring and support in decision making. Work closely with SPOCs at each country to provide master data management support. Identify and lead execution of CI opportunities and create pipeline at ANT. Change management: AEB deployment and training, work-flow changes, processes, and support on not automatized origin calculation (FG). Determinate preferential origin of goods, critical cases. Align with R&D on classification of goods, specific cases. Deployment of customs brokers within the countries. Follow up the alignment between the software tools, mainly focused on origin of goods and product classification. Analyze the volumes and the economic impact in case of modification of origin or product classification and communicate it internally to all stakeholders. Handling all escalations coming from Business related with LTSD and preferential origin. Analyze root causes for not preferential origin and improve the process if proceed. Drive or follow-up for the Duty claim / find savings. Sharing best practices among various clusters. Create and standardize processes within EMEA countries. Customs Audit support: regulatory framework, internal meetings with local teams involved, collect information, etc.

 

 

About You...

 

2+ years of experience in Import and Export processes (customs clearances). Well versed in working on SAP and other digital applications. 5+ years experience in working on Excel (moderately advanced skills). Good knowledge: Rules of origin. Good to have: Bachelor/master’s degree in Foreign Trade/Supply Chain. AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) or Continuous improvement certification. Experience on contributing to Customs audits, Continuous Improvement or Lean projects.
