Our team is growing!  We are seeking an early career, data-minded Trade Pricing Analyst to join our dynamic team.  In this role, you will be instrumental in developing pricing and trade strategies for key customers in the Food Service industry, supporting our company’s high growth and profit objectives and ensuring that all internal departments and key stakeholders are aligned with the go-to market strategy.  You will collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams to manage trade commitments and evaluate customer performance against volume targets.  In addition, you will help gather input, ensuring clarity and legal compliance with contract terms.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with Director Revenue Growth Management, Director Financial Planning & Analysis and marketing teams in the annual planning process and assist with the development of the annual trade marketing review for the customer or channel.Participate in the development of category or customer strategies as well as the selling/marketing/promotional plans for the customer or channel. Ensure timely execution and management of strategy initiatives and the processes key elements.Provide sales and trade expertise in the development of customer or broker programs and supporting material. Ensure alignment across sales and marketing teams to ensure effective field sales execution.Work closely with marketing team to develop annual volume and trade spending plans for the customers or channels categories and brands.Conduct competitive pricing analyses and review and analyze product pricing compared to competitors in the marketplace. Implement and maintain pricing infrastructures while ensuring pricing complies with guidelines and meets financial targets.Evaluate effectiveness of pricing strategies and modified pricing structures as needed, provide reporting and documentation of pricing structures, and serve as the point of contact for pricing inquiries from internal sales department, brokers, distributors, internal operations, and customers.Analyze, evaluate, recommend, and approve pricing in alignment with price strategy to include profit/loss analysis, cost analysis, competitive analysis, market niche reporting, regional assessment of pricing, and any other analysis of interest to senior management.Review customer or channel trade fund allocations, targets, and account- specific promotion planning. Manage and reconcile trade funds. Conduct post promotion ROI analyses.Work with Customer Planning Manager & marketing to develop and communicate all promotional elements to support programs including the creation of new launch selling tools. Rank, track, and publish all new launch results.Track performance on a continuous basis to ensure that volume goals are achieved within trade spending parameters. Review markets with problems and/or areas for opportunity and develop action plans accordingly.Ensure the continual development of overall category expertise that will position the division as the category expert with customers. Develop presentations that will enhance the customer and division profits.

Basic Qualifications:

A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in an Analyst type role involving working with financial data and analysisStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendationsMS Office Suite specifically Excel and other analytical toolsDetail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field2+ years’ experience in a role involving pricing, trade or financial analysis would be ideal in a CPG or corporate setting
