Our client, a distinguished AmLaw 50 global law firm, is seeking a talented Trademark Associate Attorney to join their dynamic Trademark/Copyright team in New York. This group advises an impressive array of clients, including some of the world’s largest trademark portfolio holders, on a wide range of trademark and copyright matters. With a practice that spans domestic and international jurisdictions, this team is at the forefront of innovation in trademark and copyright law.
Candidate Profile:
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record. Active Bar Admission in New York. 3-5 years of substantive experience in trademark and copyright matters, including litigation. Interested in expanding on their litigation experience to integrate more counseling and contentious work. Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Handle a broad range of trademark and copyright matters, including clearance, prosecution, and litigation. Represent clients in TTAB opposition and cancellation proceedings, trademark and copyright infringement actions, and related contentious matters. Manage large-scale multinational trademark clearance projects, providing strategic and practical advice tailored to clients’ needs. Draft and negotiate agreements related to intellectual property rights, including licensing and coexistence agreements. Offer thoughtful and innovative counsel on sophisticated trademark and copyright issues for a diverse client base.
