THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an exciting time to join Dematic, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trades Assistant (TA) to join our site at Moorebank.

Typical hours of work: day shift roster - 4 On – 5 Off, 5 On – 4 Off and 5 On – 5 OffOpportunities to work overtime, along with ad hoc weekend support  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be servicing clients' equipment in accordance with project and service agreements, whilst also identifying opportunities for improvement in the manufacture or performance of systems and products.

Adhering to and promoting safety standards and work is also a vital component of the role.

The role is primarily focused on providing prompt support to the team and our customer in ensuring their systems are working at optimum capacity by clearing jams, equipment resetting and conducting minor mechanical repairs in a timely manner.

Tasks and Qualifications:

ABOUT YOU

Successful candidates will have experience in troubleshooting/problem solving equipment faults, be customer focused and ensure high quality service and output is delivered, as well as possessing the following:

Sound mechanical knowledge and experience maintaining systems and equipment (highly regarded)

Experience with mechanical and pneumatic systems, computerized maintenance systems, and automation (conveyors) is an advantage

An alert individual who can logically solve issues that arise

Basic/Medium computer literacy skills 

Strong initiative and highly motivated

Good verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills

Physically fit to undertake the role (Manual Handling and safety training will be provided)

Understanding of OH&S requirements

Forklift Ticket/EWP highly desirable

Mature minded individual with an ability to develop and maintain effective on-going relationships with customers and teams
