Morgan Asset Management’s Fixed Income Middle Office is seeking a Vice President to join our dynamic team in New York and/or Columbus. In this pivotal role, you will provide day-to-day support to portfolio managers, traders, and investment specialists, acting as the central point of contact for all middle office functions related to fixed income.

 

Job Summary: Join J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Fixed Income Middle Office as a Vice President. You'll support portfolio managers, enhance processes, design metrics, and ensure data accuracy. This global team provides operational support for the ongoing management of portfolios, ensuring the accuracy of data to the investment desks. Be a central point of contact for all middle office functions related to fixed income, and drive improvements in our strategic platform.

 

 Job Responsibilities:

 

Provide day to day support to portfolio managers, traders and investment specialists  Act as a central point of contact to for all functions within asset management as it pertains to the middle office support of fixed income Identify, architect, and execute process improvements and efficiencies within current and future state systems and platforms  Design and implement applicable and relevant metrics, demonstrating R.O.I Engagement with technology, middle office and the business to ensure that the platform fulfills its requirements of providing accurate investment records Design and document policies and procedures relevant to the support of the investment business Partner with technology teams on programs, projects, and enhancement workflow and prioritization, in conjunction with day to day production necessities. Ensure a robust process for managing this is implemented Maintain a robust controls environment providing oversight of off-shored services Provide engagement with internal and external audits as required

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

 

Experienced Fixed Income Securities with minimum of 8 years of relevant experience including project experience Self-starter who is analytical and creative in their thinking; ability to quickly analyze information and creatively reach solutions and execute their implementation Interact and communicate effectively – written and verbal – throughout all organizational levels and roles Strong relationship management skills to build sustainable and productive alliances across matrix organizations  Thorough understanding of asset management products and clients is essential,  as well as a thorough understanding of accounting principles, and performance and attribution methodologies Strong quantitative skills, comfortable with formulas, attribution measurement methodology and risk measures Working knowledge of securities operations, trade processing, mainframe accounting systems and performance system architecture Strong knowledge of all asset classes and investment concepts Excellent analytical skills,  problem solving, and critical thinking, along with an ability to identify problems, design and articulate solutions, and implement change Ability to multi-task seamlessly while rigorously maintaining a strong attention to detail Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or Computer Science (or similar discipline) from an accredited, high quality institution

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

 

Familiarity with internal/external financial systems (Bloomberg, Markit Partners, Barclays Point) Experience in using Signavio, Alteryx and Acceptor would be a plus
