Job DescriptionPerform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in highway construction projects; perform manual work in preparing equipment or vehicles for useConduct preventative maintenance as recommended on all equipmentMaintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazardsMaterial handling and storage and shop work as assignedSupport the daily maintenance of all vehicles (Maintain fluid levels, fuel level and tire pressure)Load and unload trucks; follow proper towing of trailer mounted equipmentDeliver material to jobsitesEnsure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Notify Supervisor of any issues occur during work shiftRequired to stand for an extensive period of time (+8 hours)Wear Personal Protective Equipment required by federal, state, customer and company standards during work shiftAbility to communicate with customers clearly and in a professional manner

WHAT WILL YOU GET:  

Starting Rate $16.70 Dayshift and $17.10 Nightshift, with the opportunity to move up in pay after 1,000 hours along with the opportunity to receive prevailing and state wage after training.This is a Union Position, Medical benefits through the Union. Advancement within the company.  Ability to travel to neighbor islands. Year-round work with the possibility to make overtime hours including weekend work. Eligible for 401(k) after 90 days, with company matching. Paid, on-the-job training: Flagger Training, ATSSA certification, defensive driver training, continued training throughout your career.Rewarded for your hard work and loyalty.
