In the role of Traffic EIT/Designer, we'll count on you to:
Work as part of a traffic team under the direction of the Project Engineer/Manager on a variety of traffic analysis and design needs for a variety of transportation projectsConduct operational traffic analysis using a variety of modeling tools, ranging from Synchro/Highway Capacity Software to complex microsimulation models in TransModeler/Vissim, analyzing everything from isolated intersections and roundabouts to urban arterials and freeway corridorsFocus on traffic design, crash analysis and mitigation strategies, and traffic signal timing plansConduct traffic design using CAD platforms including MicroStation, autoCad and Guide Sign softwareConduct operational analysis using a variety of analysis and modeling tools specific to support job duties, including HCS, Synchro, VISSIM and AimsunConduct safety analysis using a variety of safety software tools including Highway Safety SoftwarePerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificateCandidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT within 1 yearComputer skills using Microsoft Office, Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, and MicroStationPreference given to local candidatesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degreeStrong verbal and written skillsAbility to multitask while working on many projects at onceAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe
