Job Title: Traffic Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer to conduct traffic impact studies and intersection capacity analyses using various software systems, such as Synchro, SimTraffic, and VISSIM. The role involves performing safety analyses, including analyzing crash data, identifying safety deficiencies, and recommending mitigation measures. You will collaborate with other disciplines on multimodal transportation infrastructure planning and design, and implement Complete Streets guidance on projects. Responsibilities include designing traffic control measures such as multimodal signing, pavement markings, and maintenance of traffic plans, as well as designing traffic signals for MDOT and local agencies, including signal layouts, wiring diagrams, utility coordination, and plan preparation. Additionally, you will perform site reviews, field data collection, and prepare summaries and evaluations of data. The position involves preparing reports and technical memos, and assisting with a wide variety of projects including corridor projects, intersection improvements, commercial and industrial site development, and other transportation infrastructure.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Novi, Michigan and some days remote.

Work Environment

M-F 40 hour work weeks, with an occasional need for some overtime work. Hybrid role, 3 days in office at a minimum. This group sits out of their Novi office, but this person can sit out of this office, Detroit, Rochester Hills, or Lansing offices.
