Job Description:

Parsons is now hiring for a Traffic Lead Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to supervise a group of five or more Engineers and design personnel, usually in one discipline, by directing technical engineering assignments and coordinating project staffing assignments. We are adding experienced staff in multiple sectors due to exciting new project awards, inclusive of the Georgia SR 400 Express Lanes project . What You'll Be Doing:

Lead design development and engineering decisionsInterface regularly with contractors to ensure project alignment and progressMaintain hands-on involvement with software applications relevant to engineering tasksServes as Engineer of Record for traffic related deliverables and plansReviews work produced to ensure that applicable codes, standards, and procedures are followed and quality is acceptable.  Monitors productivity and technical proficiency of assigned personnel.  Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as project needs ariseConducts performance evaluations, takes corrective action as necessary, recommends promotions and salary actions, and recommends training and development for assigned personnelHelps to define scope of work, design criteria, schedule, standards, and procedures for project assignmentsDetermines budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and scheduleProvides technical direction, making decisions and/or obtaining additional technical staff assistance as the situation warrants.  This may include obtaining the services of consultantsPromotes technical excellence on the project, including furthering the Quality Improvement ProcessEnsures that adequate checking is performed in accordance with discipline checking policy and proceduresEnsures that discipline design work is coordinated with project staff and Engineers from other disciplines by maintaining clear and frequent communicationsAdvises engineering and project management regarding any problem areas, staffing requirements, delays in production, scope changes, or other events which could effect project completion and/or profitabilityInitiates and/or reviews change order requests for additions, deletions, or changes to the original scope of workRecommends design methods, equipment use, etc., for discipline standardsSupervises the production of project drawings and design calculationsMaintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologiesRecommends and prepares technical papers

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 12 years of related work experienceProfessional Engineer (PE) license registration is required with the ability to secure GA PE within 3 monthsRequires co-location in the Peachtree Corners will local travel to project site office as neededDemonstrated ability to perform in a lead capacityExcellent written and oral communication skillsFamiliarity with industry practices, standards, and regulationsThorough knowledge of current technology and engineering software applications

Salary Range: 

$104,200.00 - $182,400.00
