Overview Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Engineer (2-5+ years) for its growing Traffic Planning team in Phoenix, Arizona. Responsibilities + Acquire knowledge and develop essential skills in a specific practice area. + Apply learned techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks. + Demonstrate the ability to prepare low-level complexity general engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy. + Assist with other project-related tasks such as permit applications, material testing, drawings, and CAD work. + Exercises judgment on work details and works under direct supervision on all aspects of assigned tasks. + Work within AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation to successfully complete projects within established budgets and deadlines. Typical projects include the following elements: + Traffic Impact Studies. + DOT Access Permitting. + Parking Studies. + Traffic Signal Design. + Traffic Calming Design. + Roadway Design. + Maintenance and Protection of Traffic Design. Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field). + 2-5+ years of experience in Traffic Planning and/or Traffic Engineering/Signal Design. + Engineer in Training (EIT) preferred or able to obtain in first 6 months of hire. + Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation experience is a plus. + Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. + Effective time management and organizational skills. + Ability to work on multiple tasks at once. + Must thrive in a team setting and have a great attitude. + Ability to read, write, and understand English to comprehend written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
