Producerduties include: gather, write, and select trafficinformationto run inon-airradio traffic reports, on line, and on social media platforms. Be able to manage multiple scanner frequencies, digital platforms, & maps forthe production, writing, and presentation of traffic reports and digital content. Reporter duties may include sports reporting. **Responsibilities** **What You'll Do:** + Gathering, writing, recording, editing, and delivering traffic reports as outlined by Audacy Inc. + Monitoring of traffic gathering assets (ie: traffic camera imagery, scanner listening, etc). + Post, edit and manage traffic information to Audacy social media accounts (ie: Twitter, etc). + Voicing traffic reports on Audacy stations to air on broadcast and digital platforms. + Provide live reads of traffic sponsors within designated reports by the company including logging commercials and discrepancies. + Other duties as required by management. + This position offers AFTRA benefits and applicant must be willing to join SAG AFTRA union. **Qualifications** **More About You:** **Required & Preferred:** + A valid driver's license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and if the position requires use of applicant's own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required. + Demonstrate knowledge of Chicago area and traffic geography. + Minimum of 2 year traffic, news, and/or sports reporting for broadcast media. + Must be computer literate, and have excellent writing and presentation skills. **Preferred:** + Ability to gather traffic information is a must. + Knowledge of the broadcast area geography and transportation systems is essential. **Role Expectations (included but not limited to):** + Studio-Based Reporting: Work from the studio to mitigate risks associated with internet or power outages that could disrupt reporting. Utilize the studio’s backup power and resources to ensure continuous operation. + Receive and Respond to Traffic Tips: Handle listener tip calls regarding traffic information, received by phone in the studio. + In-Person Engagement: Collaborate directly with editors and news anchors to facilitate quick communication and coordination, especially in urgent traffic news situations. + Enhance Ratings through Studio Work: Contribute to improved PPM (Portable People Meter) results by delivering uncompressed audio reports from the studio, which positively impacts overall station ratings. **Important Notes:** Please be aware that Audacy will **never** ask you to send money at any point during the hiring process.
