Position summary: Responsible for engineering design using knowledge of general engineering principles and practices to interpret, organize, execute and coordinate assignments with limited supervision. Acts as a technical advisor to less experienced engineers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope Manage or lead the development of final traffic analyses/studies, traffic engineering reports, traffic signal warrant analyses, interchange access reports(IARs) ,corridor studies, traffic signal design, signing, pavement marking plan development Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects Perform design computations Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools Develop construction cost estimates Assist in the preparation of engineering documents for advertisement and construction Prepare and compile contract plans, specifications and estimates Manage all technical resources on the project team Develop and monitor project scope, project pricing, scheduling, and budgets Prepare proposals as required Attend meetings with clients, which may include client presentations. Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality
