Job Title: Trailer Mechanic

Pay: $18-22 per hour

Shift: 7:00 am to 4:30-5:00 pm, Monday through Friday (averaging 45 hours)

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Trailer Mechanic who is experienced in working with their hands and is mechanically inclined. The role involves maintaining and repairing semi-truck chassis (excluding engine work), with a focus on brake systems, electrical systems (lighting), and tire changes. Additionally, the mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of 53' cargo containers, including welding, floorboard replacement, and repainting.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain and repair semi-truck chassis, focusing on brake systems, electrical systems, and tire changes.Perform maintenance and repairs on 53' cargo containers, including welding holes, replacing floorboards, and repainting.Use hand tools and impact tools to perform mechanical repairs.Conduct fleet maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks.Troubleshoot and repair electrical and braking systems.Inspect and ensure the safety and functionality of trailers and containers.Essential SkillsExperience in welding (MIG welding preferred).Proficiency in fleet maintenance and mechanical repair.Strong knowledge of braking systems and electrical wiring.Ability to use hand tools and impact tools effectively.Mechanically inclined with experience in carpentry or welding.Experience with preventive maintenance and inspection procedures.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
