Salary: $29.25 - $33.25/hour

 

Shifts Available:
FIRST: 6 AM - 2:30 PM |  Monday - Friday
SECOND: 2 PM - 10:30 PM |  Monday - Friday  |  $1 Shift Differential Included
THIRD: 10 PM - 6:30 AM  |  Monday - Friday  |  $1 Shift Differential Included

Trailer Technicians are to perform maintenance service in which the volume and quality of work is within the acceptably measured standards for Dayton Freight Lines.

Has a fundamental understanding of repairing and rebuilding components on 48ft. and 53ft. dry van trailers and can effectively repairs the following components:Suspension and running gear componentsLanding gear assembly and componentsWheel components and tiresBrake and air componentsElectrical, lighting and wiring componentsRear frame and door componentsSide, nose and roof componentsInterior and floor componentsAble to thoroughly perform Preventative Maintenance inspections and repairsMaintains a high level of welding and metal fabrication skillsPerforms service callsWashes and fuels equipment when necessaryRoad tests vehicles to ensure quality repair services were performed.*Dependent upon having a CDLConsistently positive attitude, interacting courteously and professionally with fellow employeesPro-actively assists, guides and directs junior techniciansBe a leading participant in the care and upkeep of the shop, the grounds and all equipment and toolsMaintains a clean, safe environment that complies to OSHA and company standardsProficient in recording all work and labor on a computer in the EMS systemWorks with the Parts Department to assure that all necessary materials, parts, service and shop supplies are maintained at proper quantity levelsWorks in compliance to EPA regulations as well as DOT and company safety requirementsPerforms other maintenance duties or assignments when necessary Qualifications Possess a valid Driver's LicenseBasic math skillsFluent in EnglishLegally eligible to work in the United StatesMust be at least 18 years of ageAble to pass a drug screen Benefits Stable and growing organizationCompetitive weekly payOvertime after 40 hoursQuick advancementQuality HoursProfessional, positive and people-centered work environmentModern facilitiesClean, late model equipmentComprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc.Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days401(k) plan, Company Match
